Britton and two others sent out of Orioles camp

The Baltimore Orioles sent a few players down to the minor league’s today including Zach Britton.  Britton was in contention for the Orioles fifth spot in the rotation.

Britton was at one point the Orioles top pitching prospect and has major league experience.  Mechanics have at times been a problem for Britton who is a power sinker ball pitcher.

Steve Johnson and Brian Matusz remain two of the front runners for the Orioles fifth spot.  Matusz is my prediction for the spot, but he has shown that he is also valuable in the bullpen.

Jonathon Schoop and Yamaico Navarro were also send out of major league camp.  Neither player was expected to make the team.
