Allegany College of Maryland Cross Country is preparing for the 2026 season with five new athletes joining Head Coach Will Giles. Giles is focused on acclimating the newcomers to campus and creating a fun, competitive environment that supports student-athlete development.
Five athletes join Allegany College of Maryland Cross Country
Jerrod Griffin joins Allegany College of Maryland from Melbourne, Florida, after a four-year high school career at Melbourne High School. Isaiah Horne, a sophomore from Lanham, Maryland, is joining the cross country squad for the first time this season.
Taylor Fletcher is an Allegany High School graduate from LaVale, Maryland. Layna Bradley is from Cumberland, Maryland, and brings cross country experience from her early high school years. Fellow Cumberland native Sierra “Dasha” Jackson is also starting her first year on the squad.

The published schedule lists the Wolfpack Invitational for Saturday, Sept. 12, at 2:30 p.m., followed by the Catamount Classic on Saturday, Sept. 19, at 9:30 a.m. The schedule also includes the Hornet Harrier Invitational, Great Allegany Run, Pitt Greensburg Fall Classic and Aubrey Shenk Invitational; dates and times for these events were not listed.
The coaching staff expects the men’s and women’s programs to compete well in regional meets. They anticipate improvement throughout the fall as the new athletes adjust to Allegany College of Maryland.
