D.C. United rallied from a two-goal halftime deficit to draw 2-2 with Nashville SC in front of a sold-out Audi Field. Silvan Hefti scored his first career MLS goal in the 56th minute, and Tai Baribo equalized in the 77th minute.
The result moved D.C. United to 5-5-8 with 23 points in the Eastern Conference and extended its unbeaten run to five matches. D.C. United has taken points in 10 of its last 11 matches.
Nashville SC Builds a Two-Goal Halftime Lead
Nashville SC took a 2-0 lead before halftime. Sam Surridge converted a penalty in the 32nd minute after a handball in the area on a Hany Mukhtar cross, and Shak Mohammed doubled the advantage eight minutes later by scoring from the center of the box after his first attempt was blocked.

Silvan Hefti and Tai Baribo Complete the Comeback

Baribo leveled the match in the 77th minute. Munteanu, falling to the turf under pressure outside the area, flicked the ball into Baribo’s path, and Baribo let it bounce once before finishing from 10 yards.
The goal was Baribo’s team-leading 11th goal of the 2026 MLS regular season and his fourth in four consecutive matches. Munteanu contributed to both D.C. United goals by forcing the save that led to Hefti’s goal and assisting on the equalizer.
D.C. United Nearly Finds a Late Winner
D.C. United pushed for a winner after drawing level. João Peglow struck the post from the top of the penalty area in the 89th minute, but neither team found a third goal.
