Baltimore Ravens Offensive Tackle Depth Chart Breakdown: Ronnie Stanley and Roger Rosengarten Anchor a Strength

Baltimore Ravens Offensive Tackle Depth Chart Breakdown: Ronnie Stanley and Roger Rosengarten Anchor a Strength

The Baltimore Ravens enter the 2026 season with one of the NFL’s better offensive tackle tandems. While questions remain at several spots along the offensive line, Baltimore has stability on the edges thanks to veteran left tackle Ronnie Stanley and emerging star Roger Rosengarten.

Protecting Lamar Jackson has always been one of the franchise’s top priorities, and the Ravens believe they have two long-term answers at tackle. Behind them, however, the depth chart becomes far less certain, making offensive tackle a position worth monitoring throughout training camp.

Projected Offensive Tackle Depth Chart

Left Tackle

  1. Ronnie Stanley
  2. Carson Vinson
  3. Gerad Lichtenhan

Right Tackle

  1. Roger Rosengarten
  2. Emery Jones Jr.
  3. Jared Penning

Baltimore’s unofficial post-draft depth chart lists Stanley and Rosengarten as the starters, with Carson Vinson leading the backup tackle competition. Emery Jones Jr. could also factor into the swing tackle role because of his versatility.

LT1: Ronnie Stanley

Ronnie Stanley remains the cornerstone of Baltimore’s offensive line.

After battling injuries earlier in his career, Stanley returned to Pro Bowl form and showed why the Ravens continue to trust him as Lamar Jackson’s blind-side protector. Baltimore doubled down on that belief by keeping Stanley in place as one of the leaders of the offense. The organization views him as a key part of its championship window.

Stanley still possesses excellent footwork, strong technique, and the experience necessary to handle elite AFC pass rushers. His ability to protect Jackson’s blind side allows the Ravens to be aggressive offensively.

The biggest question surrounding Stanley is not performance but durability. Entering another season in his 30s, Baltimore will likely manage his workload carefully during training camp and throughout the regular season.

If Stanley stays healthy for 17 games, the Ravens should once again have one of the AFC’s best left tackles.

2026 Outlook

  • Projected starter
  • Veteran leader of offensive line
  • Pro Bowl potential
  • Critical piece of Lamar Jackson’s protection

RT1: Roger Rosengarten

Roger Rosengarten may be the most important young offensive lineman on Baltimore’s roster.

The former Washington standout has developed rapidly since arriving in Baltimore. After showing promise early in his career, Rosengarten enters 2026 with expectations of becoming one of the NFL’s better right tackles. Several analysts have identified him as a potential breakout player this season.

Rosengarten brings athleticism, toughness, and the mobility needed to excel in Baltimore’s run-heavy scheme. His ability to get to the second level makes him especially valuable when Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson are operating the Ravens’ rushing attack.

The Ravens believe Rosengarten can become the long-term face of their offensive line once Stanley eventually retires. Some within the organization have even suggested he possesses the traits to eventually move to left tackle if needed.

2026 Outlook

  • Locked-in starter
  • Potential breakout candidate
  • Future cornerstone of offensive line
  • Could earn Pro Bowl consideration

The Battle for Swing Tackle

One of the most interesting training camp competitions will involve the backup tackle spots.

Carson Vinson

Carson Vinson currently appears to have the inside track as Baltimore’s top reserve tackle. The Ravens have invested time developing him and view him as a player with upside. However, he remains relatively inexperienced and would be tested immediately if forced into significant playing time.

Emery Jones Jr.

Jones offers intriguing versatility. Although Baltimore has worked him at guard, his natural position is tackle. That flexibility could make him one of the most valuable reserve linemen on the roster. If injuries strike, Jones could potentially fill multiple roles.

Gerad Lichtenhan

Lichtenhan remains a developmental prospect but continues to fight for a roster spot. Baltimore likes his size and length, though he must show consistent improvement during camp to secure a place on the 53-man roster.

Jared Penning

Penning enters camp needing a strong summer. The former Northern Iowa product has physical tools but faces stiff competition for one of the final offensive line spots.

Strengths of the Position

Elite Starting Tandem

Few teams can match the combination of Stanley’s experience and Rosengarten’s upside. Baltimore enters the season with stability at both tackle spots.

Scheme Fit

Both starters excel in Baltimore’s run-heavy offense. Their athleticism allows the Ravens to execute outside-zone concepts and quarterback run packages effectively.

Future Security

Rosengarten gives Baltimore a potential long-term successor should Stanley eventually decline or retire.

Concerns

Depth

The biggest concern is the lack of proven veteran depth behind the starters. An injury to Stanley or Rosengarten would place significant pressure on younger, less experienced players.

Long-Term Planning

Stanley remains an excellent player, but Baltimore must continue identifying future tackle prospects. Several draft analysts have already connected the Ravens to future offensive tackle prospects as the franchise plans for life after Stanley.

Final Grade: A-

The Ravens possess one of the better offensive tackle groups in the AFC.

Ronnie Stanley remains a high-level veteran starter, while Roger Rosengarten appears poised to become one of the league’s rising stars at right tackle. Together, they give Baltimore a strong foundation for protecting Lamar Jackson and powering one of the NFL’s most dangerous rushing attacks.

The only reason this group doesn’t receive an A+ is the uncertainty behind the starters. If Carson Vinson, Emery Jones Jr., or another young lineman emerges as a reliable swing tackle, this could become one of the deepest tackle rooms Baltimore has fielded in years.

For now, the Ravens enter 2026 confident that their offensive tackle position is a strength—and one that could play a major role in any Super Bowl run. :::
