Recap: Orioles Lose Game One in Toronto

Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher last night against the Toronto Blue Jays, Andrew Cashner, was put on the mound at after being the Winning Pitcher versus the New York Mets on August 14th. However, that Cashner was not the same who showed up last night.

The Blue Jays had seven hits all game, all of which came from Cashner’s pitching. Also, the Blue Jays scored five runs against the Orioles, all of which came from Cashner. In his last seven games, he is 2-2, with a 5.90 ERA. Collectively on the season he is 4-11, 4.84 ERA.

Offensively, Craig Gentry, Jonathan Villar and Renato Nunez had a great night; Nunez 1 for 4 at the plate, which was a solo homerun, while Gentry had three hits in his four at-bats. Villar had a single, and was able to steal second base; his 18th stolen base of the season.

The Orioles lost 3-5, with a record of now 37-88.
