Baltimore Ravens Preseason week Two Recap

The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Indianapolis football team 20-19. The Ravens first string offense and defense looked amazing in the first quarter.

Joe Flacco went 7/9 and threw for 79 yards and threw one touchdown to John Brown. The defense looked great again only allowing a 57 yard field goal from Adam Vinatieri. Terrell Suggs looked like he did eight years ago sacking Andrew Luck and almost forcing a fumble.

Lamar Jackson didn’t have the night he was wanting to have only completing 7/15 passes for only 49 yards. Jackson also rushed the ball for 26 yards on four carries. Jackson also threw a touchdown pass to Chris Moore in the third quarter.

The big story of this game was another great performance from undrafted rookie Gus Edwards. Edwards lead the game in rushing for 48 yards and is making a strong case to make the Ravens roster.

On the defense side rookie Kenny Young lead the team with eight tackles who has had a strong pre season.

Overall this game might have been a close game, but the good news is the first stringers are showing a great job for the little bit of time they’ve had on the field. Flacco looks comfortable with his new receivers, and tight-ends; while the first string defense looks as good as they have been in past years.
