Ravens report card: The offense 11/2/2014

The Baltimore Ravens fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers 43 to 23 on Sunday Night Football.  The game was close and the Ravens were in control during the first quarter but the officials did their best to quiet the Ravens, that is a separate story.

Quarterback: Joe Flacco was pressured and hit most of this game but he still put up solid numbers.  Flacco had two touchdowns and one interception and the one interception was caused because of pressure.  Flacco was the Ravens best player on the offense.  Flacco finished with a 91.3 quarterback rating.  Grade B+

Running backs: Lorenzo Taliaferro’s fumble was a turning point in the game, it was a momentum changer and set the Steelers up with a short field.  Forsett was more of a presence in the receiving game where he was the Ravens leading receiver.  The Ravens only managed 63 yards on the ground.  The Ravens need to use Kyle Juszczyk more. Grade D

Receivers: Crockett Gillmore had his first career touchdown and Torrey Smith also had one.  Smith had four receptions for 63 yards and had one of his better games of the season.  Steve Smith Sr. and Owen Daniels also played well.  Marlon Brown needs to get back on track.  Grade C

Offensive Line:  This was one of the offensive lines worst games of the season.  Flacco was sacked four times and hit just about every time he threw.  The line also struggled in the running game.  The line seems to struggle greatly on the road and really needs to pick things up.  Grade D
