Orioles Gausman to Honor Roy Halladay

Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher, Kevin Gausman, has decided to honor the late, great Roy Halladay this season by changing his jersey number from 39 to 34.

Halladay passed away early in November from a plane crash in which he was piloting. He was 40 years old.

I love seeing players go out and honor the players they idolized growing up. Yes, what happened to Halladay is one of the more tragic things to happen to baseball, but seeing Gausman honor his favorite player just shows this is all more than just a game.
