Orioles Set 25-Man Roster

The Orioles have finalized the 25-man roster for the 2018 season and sent out a press release with multiple transactions.

Two players have been placed on the 10-day disabled list: OF MARK TRUMBO (retroactive to March 26 – right quad strain) and RHP GABRIEL YNOA (retroactive to March 26 – right shin stress reaction), LHP ZACH BRITTON is currently on the 60-day disabled list (since February 15 – right Achilles surgery).

 

The Orioles have selected the contracts of INF PEDRO ÁLVAREZ, OF CRAIG GENTRY, OF COLBY RASMUS, and INF DANNY VALENCIA from Triple-A Norfolk.

 

Additionally, RHP ALEX COBB has been optioned to Double-A Bowie. The Orioles have also designated RHP ALEC ASHER, RHP STEFAN CRICHTON, RHP MICHAEL KELLY, and RHP JESUS LIRANZO for assignment.

 

There are 10 players on the roster that were originally signed or drafted by the Orioles (left-handed pitcher ZACH BRITTON, RHP DYLAN BUNDY, RHP KEVIN GAUSMAN, RHP MYCHAL GIVENS, C CALEB JOSEPH, INF MANNY MACHADO, OF TREY MANCINI, INF JONATHAN SCHOOP, C CHANCE SISCO, and RHP MIKE WRIGHT, JR).
