The Baltimore Orioles have optioned right-handed pitcher Brad Brach to Triple-A Norfolk.  The Orioles acquired Brach this winter for minor leaguer Devin Jones.  Brach is a relief pitcher and still had options so he was sent down despite having a really solid spring training.

Brach has put up some solid 3.70 era in his first three Major League seasons.  Last season Brach had a 3.19 era in 31 innings pitched.

The Orioles will likely need Brach at some point this season.

The Orioles today announced that they have optioned RHP BRAD BRACH to Triple-A Norfolk.

With this move, the Orioles now have 40 players at major league spring training, including six non-roster invitees.
