Orioles agree to deal with INF Danny Valencia
The Baltimore Orioles and infielder Danny Valencia have agreed on a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. Deal will be worth $1.2 million with $3 million in added performance bounces as long as Valencia makes the Orioles.
The 33 year-old MLB journey man has played for eight teams including Minnesota, Boston, Baltimore, Kansas City, Toronto, Oakland, and Seattle. Valencia will compete for the reserved infielder’s job for the Orioles, be also brings along the versatility to play left field.
Last season, Valencia hit .256 in 130 games with the mariners with 15 homers an 66 RBI.
