Jodie Meeks picks up option

It was announced today that Jodie Meeks would pick up his option for the 2018-2019 season.

The Washington Wizards backup shooting guard will make 3.4 million this upcoming season. However, he will lose approximately 500 thousand dollars of his salary, due to to his remaining 19 game suspension.

Meeks was suspended for 25 games at the end of the last season and only served four of those games, leaving 19 for this season.

This suspension was the reason why we got to see Ty Lawson in a Wizards uniform last season during the playoffs.

Last season the 30 year old averaged 6.3 points a game along with 1.6 rebounds.
