D.C. United Recap: 6/19 to 7/3

D.C. United was in action for four games after the break and they looked pretty good. Let’s take a look at each one.

6/19 vs. Miami W 1-0

D.C. United welcomed fans back to Audi Field with a full capacity to watch the Black and Red win 1-0. Ola Kamara scored the lone goal of the match on a penalty kick in the 72nd minute.

6/23 at Montreal T 0-0

6/27 at New York City L 2-1

This was a weird one. The game was actually at Red Bull Arena in New Jersey. Nick Robertha gave D.C. United a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute but the Black and Red blew it late in the second half. They gave up the equalizer in the 84th minute and the goal of doom right at the end of stoppage time.

7/3 vs. Toronto W 7-1

Yes you read that right. D.C. United bounced back in a big way on their home pitch with a 7-1 win over Toronto FC. Kevin Paredes scored n the second minute. Robertha scored in the eighth minute. Ralph Priso-Mbongue of Toronto FC scored on his own goal in th e21st minute. Paul Arriola added a goal in the 71st minute. Kamara added a goal in the 81st with Griffin Yow with his second straight assist of the night. Yamal Asad scored in the 85th minute and Yow put a bow on the game with a goal in the 90th minute.
