D.C. United blanked in scoreless draw with Montreal Impact

For the second time in three days, D.C. United could not get on the scoresheet. Unlike the previous game, a 4-0 loss to LAFC, the Black and Red at least came away with a point Tuesday night at Audi Field in a scoreless draw against the Montreal Impact. D.C. United is second in the Eastern Conference with a 3-1-2 record with 11 points, two back of Columbus Crew SC.

Wayne Rooney got ejected from Saturday’s match and part of the punishment was a suspension for Tuesday’s game. Ulises Segura filled in for Rooney in the No. 9 spot.

There was only one shot on target generated the entire game. It came from Montreal fullback Zachary Brault-Guillard in the 55th minute that was stopped by a diving Bill Hamid.

D.C. United will look to get three points this Saturday on the road in Colorado against the Rapids. Kickoff is at 9:00 p.m. eastern.
