Wilson Betemit injury update
Baltimore Orioles DH Wilson Betemit had a bad fall yesterday and the Orioles were thinking the worst as his knee bent. According to the Orioles, Betemit has a PCL strain and will miss 6-8 weeks. Betemit was feared to have a season ending injury so a 6-8 week rehab without surgery is lucky.
Betemit hit 12 home runs for the Orioles last season, he only played 102 games because of injury last year. The Orioles have many options to fill Betemit’s spot on the roster while he is on the DL. Steve Pearce and Conor Jackson have played lights out in the spring.
Here are some tweets from Orioles beat reporter Brittany Ghiroli detailing Betemit’s injury and rehab.
To clarity on Betemit, he would be sidelined at least 6-8 weeks and then reevaluated. PCL rehab is tricky and can take a while.

Betemit said 6-8 weeks is his timeline to return. For now, a few weeks of rest before starting rehab. Will stay in Sarasota.
