Soccer match between Retrievers and the Bulldogs ends in stalemate

On Saturday September 23rd, the UMBC Retrievers soccer team were able to gain a victory when playing the UAlbany Great Danes, the game ending with a score of 2-1. This gave the Retrievers a record of 5-2-2, placing them on the path to success while UAlbany ended with 4-5-0. This past Saturday we were treated to an exciting game with the UMBC Retrievers facing off against the Bryant Bulldogs.

Throughout the match, both UMBC and Bryant had chances to score but sadly could not place a goal. Bryant attempted three goals that almost made it in but the Retrievers goalkeeper, Emigdio Lopez, was able to save them. The Bulldogs goalkeeper, Antreas Hadjigavriel, was able to make one save during the second half of the game as well to keep the score 0-0.

With the buzzer hitting 0, the game ended in a tie of 0-0 on both sides. The Bulldogs have had a clean season so far with a record of 8-1-1, making them a strong contender in any matchup. The UMBC Retrievers will be playing again this Tuesday Oct 3, 2023 against Navy Sports so stay tuned for more.
