High School Honors

Ford Higgins graduated in 2016 from the Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross, GA. In his time as a Spartan, he lettered in three sports (football, lacrosse and wrestling) and was a member of the National Honor Society.

Higgins garnered All-State (GA) and All-County honors in football during his senior year. He also won a Touchdown Club of Atlanta that season. In lacrosse, Higgins received All-County (twice) and All-State recognition as an attackman. In his senior year, he captained both the football and lacrosse teams.

Freshman Year (2016)

Higgins saw no varsity action his freshman year at the Naval Academy.

Sophomore Year (2017)

As a sophomore, Ford Higgins played tackle in ten games for the Midshipmen, starting one game. He was a member of the offensive line named to the Mid-Season Honor Roll for the Joe Moore Award. This line was crucial in the successful running of Navy’s triple-option offense, and Malcolm Perry and Zach Abey’s impressive numbers on the ground.

Junior Year (2018 – through four games)

Moving to center this year, Higgins has started all four games with the Mids through 9-28-18. Despite missing spring practice due to off-season surgery on his ankle, the junior has fit seamlessly into his new role.

Although many other centers in the nation could beat him in size, few could match Ford Higgins in effort and heart.
