Hershey loses to Springfield Wenesday night 2-1 head to Hartford tonight.

Emily Fontanella & Matt Bachota

With no score in the first period, period two brings the first goal for Springfield, scored by Anthony Greco at 5:58. It wasn’t until the third period that Dustin Gazley would tie up the game with his second goal of the season two minutes into the period.  Liam O’Brien would also get is fourth consecutive point in as many games with an assist on the goal along with Jeremy Langlois. However, later in the period, after a little commotion in front of the next Springfield would get there game winning goal as Thomas Schemitsch scored at 12:17.  Hershey hustled after that putting the pressure on Springfield’s goaltender Harri Sateri but it was all for nothing as Sateri stopped 28 shots.-

Hershey outshot Springfiled 29-27 and went 0 for 3 on the power play. Hershey now posts an 8-9-0-2. There next matchup is this Saturday in Hartford as they take on the Wolf Pack at 7pm. This is the Wolf Pack’s annual Teddy Bear Toss tonight.

Tonight I would expect the Bears to go right back to Pheonix Copley, while Hartford should right their leader in net Alexander Georiev. Georiev has played in twelve games with a 3-5-1-0 record. Alex also holds a .896 save percentage and 3.36 goals against average per game.

Tonight is the second of six meetings between the Hershey and Hartford. The two teams met at the Giant Center on October 29th with Hershey getting a 4-3 victory. Hershey defenseman Lucas Johansen scored his first professional goal. Tonight also marks the return to defenseman Tommy Hughes to his old stomping ground in Hartford where he has spent parts of four seasons in the AHL.

The Wolf Pack rank second in the league on the power play meaning tonight discipline for the Bears will be the top key to victory.

The Bears return to the Giant Center tomorrow, Sunday November 26th to take on the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 5p.
