Heinicke set to return on two year extension in Washington

The Washington Football Team and Taylor Heinicke agreed on a 2 year extension this morning for an incentive laden deal at $8.75 million dollar deal.

The Old Dominion product turned heads of the Football Team when he started in place of an injured Alex Smith against Tom Brady and the eventual Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay.

In that game, Heinicke completed 26-of-44 passes for 306 yards with a touchdown and an interception. In that game Heinicke also ran for a touchdown. Teammates Terry Mclaurin and Chase Young have endorsed playing with Heinicke under center.

The deal indicates that both Washington and Heinicke gain some stability over the next two years.
