Hail to the Redskins
“Hail to the Redskins. Hail Victory. Braves on the Warpath. Fight for Old DC.”
No need to look that up. Every Skins fans knows that by heart.
So what’s all the fuss about?
Heck, even Presdent Obama weighed in on changing the Redskins name. But he’s not welcome to join in. Why? He’s a Bears fan. And he’ll get what’s coming when Jay Cutler and company comes to DC next week.
I don’t sense there is there is a big movement in Atlanta to change the Braves name. The fans there love their chop. Nor in Cleveland for the Indians. They love their team names.
What would the late George Allen think of changing the Redskins name? Sure he was a Rams coach first but I’m sure he enjoyed his time in DC with the Skins.
Now I can understand, “Deadskins” when the team stinks. What should the new team be named? “Blue Skins? Green Skins?
Nonsense. Move on to bigger issues. Like can we defend the forward pass?
Winning in Dallas will be tough. Tony Romo is coming off an historic game. We will be watching.
