Good news on Cruz's hand
Baltimore Orioles outfielder and DH Nelson Cruz was hit in the hand today by Scott Feldman. Cruz originally stayed in the game to run the bases but left later.
Cruz’s x-rays came back negative and his injury is being called a hand contusion. A hand contusion is basically a cut or a bruise.
The Orioles will likely be careful with Cruz. Broken bones can take a few days to show up on an x-ray. Cruz has been the Orioles best hitter all season and they really can not afford to lose him for an extended period of time.
