Gersich, Barber and O’Brian Sent Down to Hershey Bears

The Washington Capitals have sent Shane Gersich, Riley Barber and Liam O’Brian down to the Hershey Bears. Despite each three players having individual performances in the preseason with a deep talented Capitals team the Capitals had to send these guys to Hershey.

Gersich who is young will see a lot of game time in Hershey that will be best for his development this year. The Capitals feel that Hershey is a better option for him playing on the Capitals fourth line, or healthy scratch.

Unfortunately Riley Barber and Liam O’Brian are on waivers for 24 hours before being placed in Hershey, so let’s hope no other claims those guys.
