DFS Hockey January 12

Tonight I am stacking up on my Washington Capitals and I have a great feeling the Jets are going to crush the Blackhawks. I don’t see the Caps losing on back to back nights against the Hurricanes, and Jets have been the best team in the West playing against a 32 year old rookie with only four NHL games experience.

My centers tonight are Evgeny Kuznetsov and Blake Wheeler. The second line for the caps last night was the only productive lineup last night, and Wheeler has been phenomenal all year putting up 52 points so far this year. Other options are Nick Backstrom, Conor McDavid and Sean Monahan. Value players are Lars Eller $3,800, Ryan Strome $3,200 and Andrew Copp $3,100

My wingers are Kyle Connor, TJ Oshie and the bread man Panarin. Oshie has registered a goal since getting hurt last month and is due to get out of his goal drought. Connor has been putting up the points since being promoted to the top line with Wheeler, and Panarin leads the Blue Jackets in points playing a struggling Vancouver team. Other options are Alex Ovechkin, Patrick Lanie and Johnny Gaudreau. Value plays are Jakub Vrana $3,400, Nick Bjugstad $3,900 Sonny Milano $3,200 and Troy Brouwer $3,500.

At defense I have my value player in Christian Djoos with TJ Brodie. Both are second line offensive defensemen. If you’re looking to spend a lot on a defensemen I would suggest John Carlson, Dustin Byfuglin or Seth Jones. Value plays are Dimitri Orlov $3,900, Darnell Nurse $3,700 and Jack Johnson $2,900

My trendy tonight is Philip Groubauer again. Other options are Conor Hellebuyck or whoever is in net tonight for Columbus since their starter isn’t confirmed yet. Value play tonight is David Rittich $7,700. He is getting his second NHL start against a weak Florida team and was the Czech Extraliga leagues goalie of the year last year.
