Caps vs Flyers, a metro division showdown for a very important, two points
Today, August, 6th, the Capitals are playing the Philadelphia Flyers for two points. This is an important game for multiple reasons.
The first reason, is with Boston having lost yesterday, the Caps can move into second place. If the Caps, can move into second place, and stay there, then that would be huge.
The second reason, is Lars Eller, left the bubble in Toronto, for the birth of his second child. This means Travis Boyd is going to be filling in for him on the fourth line.
The third, and arguably the biggest reason, is have the Caps made adjustments that didn’t work in the previous game? In the first game, against Tampa, the power play, and the stretch passes looked abysmal, and lacked any decent looking effort. Hopefully, the players can execute these things, with more effort today.
