Capitals vs Penguins. Another game in the Ovechkin vs Crosby rivalry

Today, the Capitals play the Penguins for the second time this season. Coach Peter Laviolette has made some changes to the lines. It will hopefully help with generating scoring chances as well as hopefully help with penalties.

In the game last Sunday, the Caps still had way to many penalties. The team had five penalties which is a lot to give up against a team like Pittsburgh. Fatigue could’ve been a factor in this because it was the third game played in under 72 hours for Washington.

The lines have been shuffled in hopes that all four lines can generate scoring chances. Most notable is Wilson is top line, Sprong went to the second line and Oshie is on the third line. Its also being reported that Vitek Vanachek who started his first game on Friday against Buffalo, will be getting the start against Pitt.

The game is on NBC Sports at 7:00. You can also listen on 106.7 fm.
