Bowie State Wins CIAA Championship With 30-10 Win Over Fayetteville State

It felt like a day an eternity in the making for the Bowie State Bulldogs, their players, students, staff, and alumni as they beat the Fayetteville State Broncos 30-10 to win their first CIAA Championship in school history.

This game was all Bulldogs from the opening kickoff. Bowie State jumper out to a 14-0 lead on two rushing touchdowns by Amir Hall, followed by what seemed to be the backbreaker as Hall ran one in from 80 yards out to give Bowie State a 21-3 lead, which they would hold for a 30-10 victory, their fifth straight, and a CIAA Championship.

In this game, Senior QB Amir Hall rushed for 3 touchdowns and broke the CIAA record for passing yards as “The Surgeon” picked apart the Broncos defense to win his first CIAA title in his third attempt. The Bulldogs pass defense was at the top of their game today, only allowing 88 yards through the air.

The Bulldogs will go roaring into the playoffs with the CIAA’s all time leader in touchdowns and passing yards, and a defense which has only allowed 3 touchdowns in the last 4 games. Today is a great day to be a Bulldog.
