The #20 Ranked Terrapins Look to Rebound at Home Against #16 UCLA

The Maryland Terrapins find themselves in a very tough matchup amidst their two game skid, facing off against 16 ranked UCLA today back home in College Park. The Terps find themselves ranked 20th overall after losing back to back games in Wisconsin and then in New York against Tennessee. Getting back in front of the home crowd is something I am sure the Terps have missed and are eagerly looking forward to.

Although Maryalnd finds themselves in back to back losses, fans can’t be upset with this team. Going toe to toe with two top 25 teams, this team is showing a lot of promise for this year. Facing double digit deficits in both of these games, the Terps never blinked and found themselves with a chance to win in both games. Overall, nothing to be worried about as a Maryland fan.

Tonight, the Terps find themselves back in College Park, where an expected rocking Xfinity Center will be behind them, pulling for them to get back on track. UCLA, sitting at 16th in the Country, will be no cake walk by any means. But being back at home, the Terps should be able to feed off the energy yet again and hopefully put themselves back in the win column.

Hakim Hart celebrates the win over Illinois inside of Xfinity Center.

The UCLA Bruins, led by Guard Jaime Jaquez Jr, with 17.4 points per game, find themselves with an 8-2 record as well. Both of their losses came to two top 20 teams in Baylor and Illinois, and they are searching for their first ranked win against the Terps tonight.

The key for the Terps tonight is to get themselves out to a lead early. In both of their losses this year, they have caught themselves trailing by double digits early and playing catch up the entire game. Getting out to a lead early tonight, will be crucial for the Terps and will get Xfinity Center rocking. With the ability of our home crowd, the Terps have the advantage tonight and will look to get themselves out of a small skid here and hope to build another win streak. The Terps face off at 9 pm eastern time and the game can be watched on Fox Sports 1.
