Redskins Let Harris and Kelley Walk

The Washington Redskins continued their house cleaning efforts on Wednesday non-tendering two more players from the 2018 team. According to Mike Garafalo, the Redskins have allowed Maurice Harris to go and by some reports he has visited with the Patriots. Harris has been with the Redskins for the last three seasons and played in 28 games. He had a couple of very good games, but finished his Redskins’ career with 40 receptions for 432 yards.

Rob Kelley, affectionately known in the Nation’s Capital as “Fat Rob” was also allowed to walk. Kelley, too, has been with the Redskins for three seasons playing in 24 games and amassing 234 carries for 904 yards. Kelley was an undrafted free agent and impressed in his rookie season by racking up 704 yards. However, as the Redskins’ backfield became more crowded, Kelley’s place never was secured and the re-signing of Peterson all but sealed his fate.
