Ravens signing former Raiders WR Seth Roberts

The Baltimore Ravens are in need of added depth to the wide receiver position. Many draft experts have the Ravens drafting that position at pick 22, while media outlets have them signing a veteran to a minimum deal. First reported by NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the Ravens did just that by signing former Oakland Raiders wide receiver, Seth Roberts. Roberts had just been cut by the Raiders on Thursday, meaning he will not count against the Ravens’ compensatory pick formula.

The signing of Roberts gives the Ravens more added depth to the position after Michael Crabtree was released and John Brown signed with the Buffalo Bills. Roberts is not a big name guy, but he has size and speed that the Ravens could use to compliment other receivers.
