Ravens sign Thompson cut Toussaint

The Baltimore Ravens have brought back Deonte Thompson and have cut Fitzgerald Toussaint, according to their website.  Thompson was cut in favor of Toussaint because the Ravens were short a running back with Bernard Pierce ailing from injury. 

The Ravens running game still played well without Pierce and Toussaint did not see any action.  This could be a positive sign towards Pierce’s recovery or the Ravens have increased faith in Lorenzo Taliaferro who nearly rushed for 100 yards.

Thompson brings great speed to the Ravens receiver core and adds depth at kick returns.  Thompson is a very talented returner and if something happened to Jacoby Jones Thompson would be the guy.
