Ravens Sign Receiver Tarik Black

The Ravens signed wide receiver Tarik Black to their practice squad on Wednesday, Black, 25, went undrafted out of the University of Texas in 2021 before being signed by Indianapolis to their practice squad.

Black would be released in November of that season signing with the New York Jets to finish out the year. He would spend a majority of last season on the Jets practice squad before being released in December. Black would be signed by the Ravens for the final week of the 2022 season and will now return to Baltimore for the start of the 2023 season as he looks to make the 53-man roster for the first time in his short career.

Black has just one career catch for 10 yards which came in week 18 of the 2021 season as a member of the Jets. At 6’3″ 213 Ibs, Black will look to crack into the top half of the receiver depth chart that has been overhauled this season. Black becomes the third receiver signed by the Ravens this offseason, joining Nelson Agholor and Odell Beckham Jr. The Ravens will continue to revamp their receiver room as they are expected to draft at least one wideout in next weeks NFL draft, and rumors around a possible trade for Cardinals receiver DeAndre Hopkins remain.
