Ravens Seize Road Victory Over Denver

The Baltimore Ravens handed the Denver Broncos their first loss of the 2021 season on Sunday at Mile High winning 23-7.

Behind a strong throwing performance from the Raven’s go-to man Lamar Jackson the Baltimore offense was able to dominate a Bronco’s defense that was playing at a NFL best. Baltimore’s #8 put up 316 passing yards on 22 completions, surpassing the 300 yard passing mark for just the second time in his career. A change of pace for this Raven’s offense that is used to the ground and pound play style of a rush heavy offense.

The game saw a scoreless opening quarter before the Raven’s jumped out to a 17-7 lead at halftime. The scoring was highlighted by an 11 yard touchdown run by Latavius Murray, and a spectacular 49 yard TD pass to Hollywood Brown that will show up on highlight reels for the rest of the week. The second half was highlighted by the Raven’s defense forcing a career high number of punts from the Bronco’s punter and nearly tripling their season total of punts in just a single game.

Automa-Tucker ended his day 3/3 on field goals, and 2/2 on extra points. Tyus Bowser posted 2 sacks, and Anthony Averett sealed the game in the fourth with an interception in the Broncos endzone. The game did not end there however…..

With a few seconds left on the clock the Baltimore offense took the field, but not in victory formation as expected. They lined up a QB run to Lamar Jackson to tie the NFL record of consecutive games of 100+ rushing yards.

The Raven’s return home until mid-November as the Colts come to town for Monday Night Football on the 11th at 8:15 PM EST.
