Ravens next two games get pushed back due to COVID outbreak

The Baltimore Ravens have been dealing with a ramped outbreak of COVID-19 this week which already caused their Week 12 matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers that was supposed to be played on primetime on Thanksgiving night to get postponed until Sunday.

With the Ravens having one or more players testing positive every day this week, including reigning league MVP Lamar Jackson, the NFL has decided to push the game back until Tuesday.

It is currently slated to have a kickoff time of 8 PM Eastern Standard Time and will still be broadcasted on NBC.

If that game is played as scheduled on Tuesday and doesn’t get postponed any further then that means that the Ravens Week 13 interconference matchup with the Dallas Cowboys that was originally slated to be played next Thursday will be postponed as well.

That game will kick off the following Monday at 5 p.m. on Dec.7 and will be broadcasted nationally on FOX, NFL Network, Amazon Prime, and the NFL Mobile app.

The Ravens have had to place 12 players on the Reserve/COVID-19 list since Monday and now have 14 players on the list overall.

Here is the full list of the players Baltimore placed on the reserve list in order of the day they either tested positive or were deemed high risk via contact tracing:

Monday- RB Mark Ingram II, RB J.K. Dobbins, NT Brandon Williams

Tuesday- LB Pernell McPhee

Wednesday- DE Calais Campbell, OL Patrick Mekari, OL Matt Skura

Thursday- QB Lamar Jackson, DE Jihad Ward

Friday- FB Patrick Ricard, DT Justin Madubuike, LS Morgan Cox, OL Will Holden (reportedly)

“We appreciate the efforts of the NFL and Pittsburgh Steelers throughout this process, while we all work to create an environment that keeps the health and safety of everyone involved at the forefront of each decision,” Head Coach John Harbaugh said in a statement.

“Our organization has a plan in place, and we will be prepared to play the Steelers. We thank everyone for their adaptability and look forward to the challenge of facing a very good football team at Heinz Field on Tuesday night.”
