The Baltimore Orioles have optioned T.J. McFarland to triple-A Norfolk today.  McFarland pitched three innings for the Orioles today and ate up a lot of innings while the rest of the bullpen rested.  McFarland has been optioned before and seems to be one of the Orioles swing players.  The Orioles have yet to make a corresponding move but will likely add another pitcher.

Orioles option LHP T.J. McFarland to Triple-A Norfolk

The Orioles announced after today’s game that they have optioned LHP T.J. McFARLAND to Triple-A Norfolk.

McFarland, 24, has posted a 3.86 ERA (7.0IP, 3ER) in three appearances for the Orioles, including a 3.0 inning appearance this afternoon in which he allowed two earned runs.
