Norfolk Tides Weekly Recap 5-14 To 5-20

– Here is how the Norfolk Tides, the Triple-AAA affiliate for the Baltimore Orioles, did for the past week from Monday, May 14th through Sunday, May 20th.

FOR THE WEEK

Norfolk went 3-3 this past week, unfortunately dropping two of three at home versus the Indianapolis Indians.  Over the weekend, the Tides took two out of three against the Louisville Bats, also at home.

TRANSACTIONS FOR THE WEEK

Called Up – Catcher Andrew Susac and SP David Hess were called up to the Baltimore Orioles.  Susac went 2 for 11 (.182) with a double.  Hess started for the Orioles on Sunday afternoon and took the loss after going 4 2/3 innings, giving up eight hits, five earned runs, walking two and striking out three.  He is now 1-1 for Baltimore.

Called Down – Catcher Caleb Joseph was sent down to make room for Susac on the Orioles roster.

Released – On May 18th, the Tides released LF Alex Presley
