Navy Beats Army, 79-68

The Navy men's basketball team defeated Army, 79-68, on Saturday afternoon in Annapolis. The win evens the season series between the service acadamies to 1-1 (Army beat Navy in January, 72-61).

Improving to 9-16 overall with the victory, Navy moves to 6-8 in the Patriot League. Army, meanwhile, drops to 12-15 on the season and 7-7 in conference play.

John Carter Jr. had a tremendous day at Alumni Hall, leading the Mids in scoring with 26 points. Evan Wieck put together a strong defensive performance, topping Navy players with 11 rebounds and two blocks.

Tommy Funk scored 20 points while also contributing seven assists and two steals to the Army effort. Matt Wilson led the Black Knights with 12 rebounds and two blocks.
