Washington Nationals Lineup: 9-8-2018, Game One

Here’s the Washington Nationals lineup for the first game of today’s doubleheader against the Chicago Cubs.

Trea Turner – SS
Anthony Rendon – 3B
Bryce Harper – RF
Mark Reynolds – 1B
Juan Soto – LF
Victor Robles – CF
Matt Wieters – C
Adrian Sanchez – 2B
Max Scherzer – P

After last night’s rainout, Max Scherzer (16-6, 2.28 ERA) gets the ball for the first game of a doubleheader at Nationals Park today. Scherzer pitched seven nearly flawless innings against the Cubs on Aug. 12.

Jaime Garcia (3-6, 5.93 ERA) will make his first start for Chicago. The left-hander’s last start was with the Toronto Blue Jays in June. He allowed five runs in three innings against the Atlanta Braves.

The ceremonies celebrating Jayson Werth Appreciation Day at Nationals Park will now take place between games one and two.
