Nationals beat Reds 5-2: Recap 6/1/19

The Washington Nationals beat the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday afternoon at Great American Ballpark in regular season action. The Nats record currently stands at 25-33. The Reds drop to 27-31.

Erick Fedde pitched a very strong four innings for Washington. Fedde allowed six hits and three strikeouts while pitching. Tanner Rainey allowed zero hits and zero strikeouts pitching against his former team in relief for Washington.

At the top of the second inning, center fielder Gerardo Parra homered to right (396 feet), Rendon scored and Dozier scored.

In addition, first baseman Matt Adams homered to right (428 feet),

Lastly, in the top of the ninth inning, second baseman Brian Dozier homered to left (382 feet),

With a win over the Reds, the Nationals play the final game of the series tomorrow at 1:05pm. Pitching for the Nationals will be Max Scherzer.
