Chesapeake Bayhawks Back-to-Back Losses; Hope to Win Tonight

The Chesapeake Bayhawks started the season with a seven-game winning streak after their 1-2 start. That streak ended July 21st versus the visiting Charlotte Hounds. Going into the July 26th game at Atlanta Blaze, the Bayhawks were 8-3 with 1.5 games behind league leader Dallas Rattlers, but came out 8-4 and 2 games back.

It was a close game as the Blaze edged the Bayhawks 12-11 final score.

Back from the FIL World Lacrosse Championship series in Israel, Bayhaw/Iroquois Nation Lyle Thompson netted three goals while Bayhawk/Canada Josh Byrne found the back of the net three times as well.

Neither team scored while on powerplay. Bayhawk goalie Niko Amato faced 28 shots on goal.

Not even 48 hours after their last game, the Bayhawks are back in action tonight. They play their final home game 7pm, at Navy-Marine Corps Stadium in Annapolis, against the Denver Outlaws (7-5, 3 GB, 2-3 away).
