Capitals vs. Bruins Preview: November 16, 2019
The Washington Capitals try to regroup at home as the two best teams in the Eastern Conference face off. The Boston Bruins ride into town tonight, and the Caps need to do all they can to keep distance. Last night, the Canadiens may have snapped their thirteen-game point streak, but there is still plenty of season left. Some changes need to be made now.
The Caps are still the best team in the NHL overall. Their 14-3-4 record and 32 points are a strong statement this early. Boston, however, is not far behind. A 12-3-4 record is good for 28 points, which is second in the East and fourth in overall standings. The defending Eastern Conference champions are still riding high from last year, with David Pastrnak leading the league in goals and Brad Marchand third in overall points.
Tonight’s game will be a clash of titans, as both teams have only lost three regulation contests each. Who will walk home with the points tonight? Let’s find out.
