Bears lose home opener, turn around and take on Phantoms tonight.
The Hershey Bears and Belleville Senators traded three goals in a span of just 54 seconds in the second period giving Belleville 3-2 lead and they would not look back. There Bears dropped their first home opener in three seasons. What do they get next? A matchup with the Lehigh-Valley Phantoms, who beat down the Bears 7-2 last Saturday night at the PPL center in Allentown, PA.
Chandler Stephenson opened the scoring for the game with his second goal of the season on a five on three power play goal. Chris Bourque scored the second goal for the Bears. The loss drops the Bears to 0-2 on the season, which happened for the Bears two seasons ago, and we all know the Bears went all the way to the Calder Cup Finals.
With the top two goaltenders Pheonix Copley and Vitek Vanecek still out with lower-body injuries, Milner started in goal for the second straight game for the Bears. Milner played big by stopping 30 shots in the loss. Milner played a big role in keeping the B-Sens to just 1-for-7 on the power play, as he made several spectacular saves, including a sprawling glove save on Fillip Chlapik midway through the second period. 
Hershey looks for a win tonight to avoid starting 0-3 for the first time in ten seasons. The last time the Bears started the season with three regulation losses was during the 2007-08 season when the Bears dropped three straight road games against the Binghamton Senators, WBS Penguins and the Bridgeport SoundTigers to open the season.
