The 1874 Cup Is Coming to FedEx Field
The legendary All Blacks are coming to Washington DC. Who are the All Blacks you ask? They are the New Zealand national rugby team. On October 23rd they will take on the USA Eagles at FedEx Field in the 1874 Cup. The first rugby match in the U.S. happened in that year. This marks the first time the All Blacks have played in the US since 2016.
In New Zealand rugby is what the NFL is in America. The All Blacks have won over 75% of their matches in their 100 plus year history. They have won 3 Rugby World Cups which ties them with South Africa for most titles. The U.S. has been playing since 1975 and are growing the game in the country. There are currently 110 active members in their organization.
