Navy Men’s Golf Hosts Army in Annual Star Match

The 2023-24 Army-Navy Series will begin this week with Navy Men’s golf hosts the 86th Army-Navy Star Match series.

The series will take place at the Naval Academy Golf Club on Thursday and Friday. The match is scored using the Ryder Cup-style format, with four four ball matches played on Thursday and seven singles matches on Friday. The first team to reach six points will be declared winner.

Navy holds a 45-39-1 advantage over Army in the series history. The first match took place in 1939 at Sherwood Forest Golf Club in Sherwood Forest, Md.

Army was able to take home last years match with a 7-4 win.
