Washington Capitals vs Vegas Golden Knights

The Washington Capitals come back to Capital One Arena on this Tuesday night to face the Vegas Golden Knights, after playing four straight road games. The Caps went 2-1-1 on the four game road trip. The Caps did battle back in order to take the game against Carolina into overtime and a shootout, however they did fall short in the shootout. Since this is the 2nd leg of a back to back game, look for Charlie Lindgren to get the start. He boasts a 3.09 goals against average which is respectable. he also has a .925 save percentage which is also very good. The team is a little short handed right now with injuries to T.J. Oshie, John Carlson, Connor Brown, and Alexander Alexeyev. This has shaken up not just the regular lines, and defensive pairings, but also the power play and penalty kill units. The coaching staff and team has responded well in figuring out good changes to the lines and special teams units, and players have seemingly played with a lot more heart than in the earlier games due to expanded ice time. The Defensive pairings seem to be playing better in the last few games, and hopefully they can continue to build off of that growth.
