Washington Capitals to Host Street Hockey Clinic in Hagerstown, Maryland
The Washington Capitals Street Team sponsored by AAA will host a free “Try Hockey” on August 18 from 10-11AM at the Outdoor Rink in the Hagerstown Fairgrounds. The clinic is for children under 12 who have never played hockey before.
The goal for the event is to give children who have never played hockey a chance to play, and learn about the game. The Capitals used funding from the National Hockey League’s Industry Growth Fund to help rebuild the outdoor rink a year ago. The rinks upgrades included a blue soft surface with a Washington Capitals logo in center court, new scoreboard, new boards, new fences and new benches. The main goal is to help build the sport of hockey in Western Maryland. Great community service by the Capitals!
