THE ARMY/NAVY GAME MAY BE MOVED FROM PHILADELPHIA IN 2020

The city of Philadelphia has announced a ban on all large events until February 2021. Initially the Eagles thought they would be exempt from the ban however the city had other ideas. According to Pro Football Talk events at Lincoln Financial Field are included. This decision also affects the 2020 Army/Navy game. which is scheduled for December 12th in the same stadium.

Earlier this week Navy Athletic Director Chet Gladchuk told ESPN that every effort would be made to play the game as scheduled. A decision regarding fans attending will be made later but I would think both schools would like to have student bodies there at minimum. That can’t happen now so we will probably get an announcement soon that they are trying to find somewhere else to host this year’s contest.
