NFL Week 4 Start Em’ Sit Em’ 2018-2019

Another week is here for Football and fantasy fans, if your looking for Fantasy advice, here are our NFL Week 4 starts and sits for the week. Credit to Matt Bachota for coming up with the players for the starts and sits.

Quarterbacks:

Start: Patrick Mahomes and Philip Rivers

First, Patrick Mahomes as been on fire as he has acquired at least 20 PPG through the first three weeks of the season, but faces a tough Denver defense. Mahomes has a tough task but expect him to still put up a solid game against the Broncos. Next, Philip Rivers faces off against a 49ers defense that surrendered 38 points to the Chiefs last week. Rivers should deliver a great fantasy game for your team, as he is known to be a solid Quarterback for points.

Sit: Derek Carr and Blake Bortles

Derek Carr faces a Browns defense that is ranked 5th by NFL.com standard leagues and that same defense torched the Jets offense late in the 2nd half last week. Blake Bortles is coming off a game where the Jaguars offense scored just 6 points, and Leonard Fournette is expected to be back playing today.

Running Backs:

Start: Jordan Howard and Giovani Bernard

Jordan Howard faces a terrible Buccaneers defense that gave up 30 points to the Steelers defense and has been getting a large amount of the workload on offense, as the Bears are still trying to develop Mitch Trubisky. Giovani Bernard is a start due to him playing against a horrible Falcons defense due to them losing Keanu Neal and Deion Jones, and gave up 43 points to the Saints last week.

Sit: Isaiah Crowell and Alfred Morris

First, Isaiah Crowell faces one of the best defenses in the Jaguars who have only given up one solid game to a runner, which was in Week 1. Additionally, Crowell doesn’t even get 90% of the workload because of Bilal Powell. Next, Alfred Morris is a sit due to a solid workload with Matt Breida and and he faces the tough Chargers front seven.

Wide Recievers:

Start: Emmunuel Sanders and Will Fuller

Sanders is a good flex option for fantasy owners as he’s had a fast start to the season, posting 66.4 PPR points while ranking tied for 12th in touches among wideouts in the entire league. He’s a virtual must start against the Chiefs, who have allowed five touchdown catches and an average of 42.93 PPR points to opposing wide receivers. Next, Will Fuller has broke out as the number 2 option for the Texans and faces an awful Colts secondary today.

Sit: Marquise Goodwin and DeSean Jackson

First, Goodwin will be without Jimmy Garrappolo for the rest of the season, and DeSean Jackson isn’t exactly the number 1 receiving option for the Buccaneers. Additionally, the Bucs match up against a solid Bears secondary today.

Tight Ends:

Start: Trey Burton and Eric Ebron

Trey Burton has been a consistent Tight End option as he grabs several receptions per game. Eric Ebron may have to split time with Jack Doyle, but he’s statistically better this season.

Sit: Jared Cook and Cameron Brate

Jared Cook is a sit due to playing a surprisingly good Browns defense and Brate is also a sit due to playing the Bears defense who can apply great pressure to Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Kickers:

Start: Wil Lutz and Harrison Butker

Both Lutz and Butker play on two great fantasy scoring teams and should expect to get plenty of opportunities for points.

Sit: Chris Boswell and Jake Elliott

First, Boswell is a sit due to him missing too many Field Goals and extra points, with the same reason to Jake Elliott has both Kickers have been inconsistent this season.

Defenses:

Start: Jaguars and Chargers

The Jaguars defense faces off against rookie Quarterback, Sam Darnold and should expect to acquire plenty of turnovers today. The Chargers are a start due to them facing off against backup Quarterback, CJ Beathard, who was absolutely atrocious last season.

Sit: Ravens and Dolphins

The Ravens are a sit due to them giving up away too many points in games at Pittsburgh. The Dolphins are also a sit due to the Patriots having too many weapons for them to handle today.
