Nationals lose to Mets 6-1: Recap 5/22/19
The Washington Nationals lost to the New York Mets Wednesday night at Citi Field. The Nats record currently stands at 19-30. The Mets move to 23-25.
Max Scherzer pitched a very strong six innings for Washington. Scherzer allowed four hits and nine strikeouts. Kyle Barraclough allowed 1 hit and 1 strikeout in relief for Washington.
In the top of the first inning, right-fielder Adam Eaton homered to right (367 feet).
With a loss to the Mets, the Nationals play game four of the series at 12:10pm at Citi Field. Pitching for the Nationals will be Stephen Strasburg.
