Gio Gonzalez Leads the Nationals in ERA

With Bryce Harper leading the NL in home runs, Matt Adams emerging as an elite power hitter, and nineteen year old Juan Soto starting his career hot, a Nationals story that has been not as discussed is Gio Gonzalez starting the year hotter than anyone. Even with Max Scherzer and Stephen Strasburg pitching at their regular stud levels (2.13 and 3.13 ERA respectively), Gonzalez has been the best Nationals pitcher with an ERA of 2.10 and a 6-2 record. Gonzalez and Scherzer are second and third in the NL respectively in ERA behind only Jacob deGrom. For the Nationals to make a deep playoff run they need all three of their studs to continue pitching as they are.
