After 2 home preseason games, its time for the time-honored training camp tradition of the roster cuts, cue the Homer Simpson “you’re cut” video

A true classic indeed, alrighty here are the lists of cuts separated and are provided by CapitalsPR on Twitter @CapitalsPR

The following players have been loaned to their respective junior teams: Connor McMichael (London; OHL), Aliaksei Protas (Prince Albert; WHL), Eric Florchuk (Saskatoon; WHL), Alex Kannok-Leipert (Vancouver; WHL).
None of these are surprising, each of them is too young to be in the AHL, back to Canada boys!

Damien Riat has been returned to his European team (Biel; Swiss NLA).
This sucks, I really liked his hustle Monday night, Damien is 22 and I hope he gets a shot in Hershey or an extended look in DC, once some of the established vets move on.

The following players have been sent to Hershey: Casey Bailey, Erik Burgdoerfer, Tommy Hughes, Kale Kessy, Chris McCarthy, Matt Moulson, Logan Thompson, Matthew Weis, Steven Whitney.
The following players will continue injury rehabilitation in Hershey: Kody Clark (upper body) and Riley Sutter (upper body)
All AHL deals and expected names to join Hershey this season, as for Clark and Sutter this is rehab stint, then add to Hershey, get well soon lads.

The following players were released from ATO: Beck Warm and Hayden Hawkey.
We hardly knew ye, although I would like to see Beck Warm in Hershey, the nickname Warm Chocolate is marketable.

And lastly, here is a link to the updated Capitals TC roster, 44 players left and 22 spots available, Capitals are back at COA on Saturday to take on Carolina Hurricanes, then it’s a week-long preseason road trip.

Stay with us and training camp continues and the rosters in both Hershey and Washington Dc fill up as we head toward opening night October 2nd!
